As you know, the Canadian Government has adopted the same weak greenhouse gas reduction targets as the Harper Government, and what’s more we are on course to miss those targets by 30%. A recent report by the environmental commissioner of Canada strongly criticized government inaction on climate change. Here is an article about the report:

Rudolph Run/walk

Our annual Rudolph Run/walk is on Saturday November 29th, this will be our 5th edition. Last year there was over 150 participants, please join us and give to local Christmas baskets.

There will be a 1 k, 2 k, 5 k and 10 k all available walk/run. Bring the whole family the more the merrier.
Minimum donations $5 per adult.

Sainte-Barbe Feast

The day will begin at 9:30 am with a Remembrance Ceremonial in the church with the participation of different fire squads of the region. Then we will move to the town park to admire the fire vehicles and various antique cars. Demonstrations of emergency techniques will also be presented by the Fire Department of St. Barbe.

Meanwhile, the youngest will enjoy inflatable games set up for them. Some makeup artists will also be present. Under the big tentcard and board games will be available. In addition, at 2:00 p.m., a workshop with novelist Alessandro Cassa will give you the chance to discover his world and awakening your imagination and above all, the love of reading.
